“Outlaws” Motorcycle Gang member rides onto U.S. Marshals 15 MOST WANTED
list
It
is a destination most criminals would rather avoid, but 48-year-old
Randy Mark Yager,
head of the Outlaws motorcycle gang in Chicago, has just landed on the U.S.
Marshals list of 15 MOST WANTED fugitives. He earned this dubious
distinction thanks to a lifetime of violent crime.
Yager was the Regional President of the Outlaws and one of 17
club members indicted by a
Wisconsin
federal grand jury in June 1997, for violations of the Racketeer Influenced
and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) statutes. The underlying offenses include
murder, arson, possession and use of explosives, possession and trafficking
in counterfeit U.S. currency, robbery, burglary, trafficking in stolen motor
vehicles, and narcotics violations. Yager is the only remaining fugitive in
the indictment, and if convicted, faces a maximum term of life in prison.
In
June 1997, as federal agents conducted raids and made arrests in this case,
Yager was visiting Las Vegas with his girlfriend, Margie Jelovcic (pictured
left), and avoided the sweep. He has evaded authorities for the past seven
years. Jelovcic, 37, also has disappeared and investigators believe she is
traveling with Yager. Her family has filed a missing persons report and
there are no outstanding warrants for Jelovcic.
Yager is a white male, 5 ‘ 11“ tall, 235 pounds, with brown
hair, hazel eyes, and he generally wears a mustache, goatee, or beard. He
has notable tattoos: a Harley Davidson logo on his left upper arm; Outlaw
Indians on his lower left arm; and an eagle on his right arm.
He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone seeing him
should call their local U.S. Marshals office, or call Marshals Headquarters
at 1-800-336-0102. A cash reward is offered for information leading to the
arrest of Randy Yager.
U.S. Marshals are the nation’s primary fugitive hunting
organization and capture more federal fugitives each year than all other
national law enforcement agencies combined. Four of the individuals on
their 15 MOST WANTED list have been apprehended in recent months.
