Patient Safety & Clinical Pharmacy Services Collaborative

Collaborative Aim:
"Committed to saving and enhancing thousands of lives a year by achieving optimal health outcomes and eliminating adverse drug events through increased clinical pharmacy services for the patients we serve.”

To ensure that patient care delivered by HRSA grantees and other health care providers serving poor, uninsured and underserved people becomes the safest and best in the nation, HRSA is studying leading practices in patient safety, clinical pharmacy services and health outcomes.

The goal is to replicate those leading practices across HRSA-funded health care providers and their partners using a collaborative model based on the methodology of the Institute for Health Care Improvement.

HRSA intends to pull together teams of health care providers from communities across the nation to learn, replicate, test, and adopt specific practices in patient safety and clinical pharmacy services to improve health outcomes and reduce adverse events.
