About
the Service Expansion Supplemental Grant Competition
An
important element of HRSA’s commitment to improving
and expanding access to needed primary health care
services is the delivery of primary health care services
for the underserved through operational support under
the Health Center Program (i.e., Community Health
Center (CHC), Migrant Health Center (MHC), Health
Care for the Homeless (HCH), and Public Housing Primary
Care (PHPC) Programs) authorized under section 330
of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act, as amended.
Access to mental health/substance abuse services,
oral health care, and pharmacy services is critical
in ensuring the overall health and well-being of the
populations served by health centers funded under
the Health Center Program. The goal of these funding
opportunities is to increase access to, oral health,
pharmacy, and behavioral health services.
Only
the following applicants are eligible

Applicant must be an existing health center grantee.
Health center grantees are those organizations which
currently receive funding under the Consolidated
Health Center Program authorized under section 330
of the PHS Act, which include:

Community Health Centers (CHC) – section
330(e)
-
Migrant Health Centers (MHC) – section
330(g)
-
Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) – section
330(h)
-
Public Housing Primary Care (PHPC) – section
330(i)

Applicant must not be an organization that received
funding for the first time under section 330 as
a new start in FY 2007 or FY 2008.
