  What is Covered by Federal EEO Laws     

 

EEO Complaints Processing: Working Toward a Diverse and Discrimmination Free Workplace.

 

 



 

A United States Marshals Service employee or applicant for employment may file an EEO complaint if the employee or applicant believes he/she was discriminated against on one or more of these factors:

Race

Color

Sex (including sexual harassment)

Religion

National Origin

Age (40 years or older)

Disability (Physical or Mental)

Reprisal (For EEO activity)

Sexual Orientation

Parental Status

Complaints filed on the bases of sexual orientation and parental status will be processed through final agency decision.  There is no right to a hearing or appeal to the EEOC or to bring an action in U.S. District Court.

Applicants for operational deputy U.S. Marshal positions must meet specific standards of physical fitness and other qualifications
