New Tax & DMV Office Hours

Extended Hours. Extended Service. All State Tax Commission and state DMV offices are closed on Fridays, including telephone call-in centers and e-mail assistance, but have extended hours of operation from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. This is in conjuction with Governor Huntsman's "Working 4 Utah" initiative. Also remember that many tax and motor vehicle services are available online.
 

2007 & 2008 Income Tax Differences

The tax year 2008 income tax calculations will be significantly different from tax year 2007. The Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel has prepared the following document discussing these differences in detail: "Fact Sheet – Changes to Utah's Individual Income Tax"

The Governor's Office has prepared a calculator allowing you to make a comparison of your 2007 and 2008 taxes.

E-Filing Corporate Returns

Utah has developed a new e-file program with the IRS that allows Utah corporations to electronically file both their federal and Utah corporate or partnership returns together. Click here for more info.
