FIG
The FLUORESCENCE interest group explores the use of fluorescence spectroscopy to quantify important interactions in biochemistry and medicine. Special emphasis is given to the assembly, motions and structures of macromolecules; esp. DNA-protein and protein-protein interactions. The ability to export these technologies to imaging at the cellular and deep tissue levels is also explored.
As a group or as individuals, we also review and evaluate new fluorescence technologies, instruments and probe molecules.
