The GAO's auditing standards require peer reviews be conducted every three years on organizations that conduct government audits. The Federal Communication Commission, Office of Inspector General (FCC OIG) conducted a peer review of our system of quality
control for the audit function in effect for the year ended September 30, 2006. In January 2007, FCC OIG issued our office an unmodified
opinion in its final report. An unmodified opinion is also known as a clean audit opinion.
