NOAA Teacher at Sea, Eric Heltzel, hard at work aboard the RONALD H. BROWN.

Eric Heltzel
, a high school teacher from Wyoming, was on board NOAA Ship RONALD H. BROWN for 28 days in September and October, while scientists conducted atmospheric research on the stratus cloud deck.  They traveled from Miami, through the Panama Canal, and all the way to Chile!  You can track the drifter buoy he deployed and that was adopted by Evanston High School, and you can click on the dates below to read his logs.

Eric's participation as a NOAA Teacher at Sea was supported by a partnership between NOAA's Teacher at Sea program and NOAA's Office of Climate Observation.
