Abstract:

This guide serves as a companion document to the Rural and Frontier Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Agenda for the Future, which is targeted towards policy makers to focus attention on the survival and improvement of EMS in rural America. It is designed to provide information, tools and resources to local EMS leaders. The guide assists rural and frontier EMS agencies in addressing issues surrounding community assessment and planning, integration and regionalization, and quality and performance improvement.
