HRSA CAREAction: Adherence and HIV/AIDS (May 2005)

This newsletter focuses on adherence of people living with HIV/AIDS to a highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) regimen. It discusses the importance of adhering to a HAART regimen, the difficulty of maintaining the regimen, challenges in predicting and measuring adherence, and ways clinicians and other providers can support adherence.
