Help HRSA improve the health of rural communities across America.

  • Register to be a grant reviewer today — enter rural health as one of your specialties on the registration form and have your resume or CV showing your experience in rural health ready to attach.

What you will gain

  • Help select the best projects from competitive groups of grant applicants

What you will give

Grant reviewers give their time and expertise. HRSA makes all logistical arrangements, pays travel expenses and other costs, and tries to make the process convenient and easy for reviewers.

HRSA conducts reviews in three ways — two of which allow you to serve without leaving your office or home.

  • In person: two- to four-day meetings, usually in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Reviewers discuss applications they have independently reviewed and scored;
  • By teleconference: one- to three-day phone calls. Reviewers discuss applications they have independently reviewed and scored;
  • Field reviews: Reviewers independently review and score applications. No group discussion is held.
