ATA 2009 Preliminary Program Available!
ATA 2009 offers over 250 presentations including scientific poster & keynotes by health technology professionals from around the world.  It also features over 200 exhibitors, demonstrating how the latest telemedicine products and services can improve access, quality and efficiency.

 
ATA Submits Request for Additional Medicare Reimbursement
ATA has formally requested several CPT codes to be added to the list of medical services that can receive reimbursement under Medicare. The request, submitted to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), asked for approval of codes related to providing services to patients residing in skilled nursing facilities. The agency will consider the request and include their response in their annual physician fee schedule announcement in late summer of this year.


2008 ATA Mid-Year Meeting Presentations Now Online 
The 2008 Mid-Year Meeting (September 15 & 16, 2008) combined two great topics Pediatric Telehealth and Home Healthcare & Remote Monitoring.  Copies of powerpoint presentations from the meeting are now available.


Telemedicine Networks Map

ATA has been developing an inventory of existing medical center-based telemedicine networks. There are approximately 200 such networks operating in the United States, linking over 2,500 institutions nationwide. The type of services provided as well as network configuration varies considerably. These networks do not include many other categories of telemedicine such as medical call centers, home telehealth, remote monitoring or outsourced clinical services.
