Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer

Description:
The National Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries collaborate to provide an annual update on cancer occurrence and trends in the United States. The Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer is completed with the help of the National Cancer Institute's Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) Surveillance Research Program. The report is based on incidence data from NCI's Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program, the CDC's National Program of Cancer Registries (NPCR), and the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR). Mortality data come from the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). Other supplemental materials include:

  • Rates and Trends for the Top 15 Cancer Sites by Sex and Race/Ethnicity
  • Rates and Trends by Site and Sex
  • Rates and Trends by Sex, Age, and Site
  • Annual Percent Change in Rates, Top 10 Sites, by Sex
