Man Wanted by Horry
County and State Probation Apprehended
COLUMBIA, SC -
Reggie Pinkney was apprehended on 04/17 in Chadbourne, NC by members
of the Marshals’ Operation Intercept and deputy marshals from the
Eastern District of North Carolina. Pinkney, 27, was the subject of
an October 2005 Horry County warrant for Failure to Appear on a
Trafficking Cocaine charge and a December 2005 warrant for a state
Probation Violation. He was booked into the Columbus County (NC)
Jail awaiting court proceedings.
Task force members,
including deputy marshals and SLED agents, began looking for Pinkney
on April 10 and were able to quickly track him to a residence on
West Holland Street in Chadbourne. Pinkney was found hiding in a
closet and was taken into custody without further incident. In
addition to locating Pinkney, deputy marshals and task force members
contacted the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office after observing
quantities of suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and
ecstasy. Over 500 grams of cocaine was seized along with smaller
quantities of crack, marijuana and ecstasy. Additionally, over
$29,000 in U.S. currency was seized. In announcing Pinkney’s arrest,
United States Marshal Johnny Mack Brown said, “We were very pleased
to locate Pinkney after he had been on the run for a year and a half
and to seize such a large quantity of narcotics and cash.”
Established in 1789, the

enforcement agency. In fiscal 2005, the Marshals arrested more than
35,500 federal fugitives, clearing 38,500 felony warrants. Marshals
Service-led task forces like South Carolina’s Operation Intercept
arrested 44,000 state and local fugitives, clearing 51,200 state and
local felony warrants. Locally, Operation Intercept arrested over
2,900 South Carolina fugitives during that same period. More
