Arrest of
Ryan Turner

The U.S. Marshals First State Fugitive Task Force arrested Ryan Martez Turner, 18 years old, at 10:00 am on May 4, 2007. Turner was wanted on one count of Capital Murder and six other felony charges from the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office, Charlottesville, Virginia. The alleged murder occurred on March 9, 2007 in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Approximately two weeks ago, First State Fugitive Task Force Members received information from the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional (CARFTF) Fugitive Task Force in Alexandria, VA that Turner may be in the Wilmington, Delaware area. This morning, after a brief investigation and surveillance, Turner was seen exiting a residence in the 200 block of Delamore Place, Wilmington by Task Force Officers from the U.S. Marshals Service, Delaware Probation and Parole, New Castle County Police Department, and the Wilmington Police Department. After he made eye contact with Task Force Officers, Turner attempted to run and was quickly arrested without further incident.

Turner was immediately transported to the Wilmington Police Department for his arraignment and extradition hearing pending his return to Virginia.
