Sept. 24, 2008: NOAA's Fisheries Service announced availability of a Proposed Middle Columbia River Steelhead Distinct Population Segment ESA Recovery Plan, and requested review and comment on it. The comment period closed Dec. 23, 2008.
This plan is the product of a collaborative process initiated by NOAA with assistance from the Middle Columbia Forum (Mid-C Forum), a bi-state, tri-tribe group convened to provide input on the development of the this recovery plan. The proposed plan includes four locally developed management unit plans that address tributary conditions.
