The FIPS 201 Removed Products List (RPL) lists products and services that were at some point on the Approved Products List (APL), but now have been removed for one or more of the following reasons:
When an approved product or service needs to be either partially or fully re-evaluated (based on one or more criteria as stated above), an Evaluation Program Lab informs the Supplier. The notification sent to the Supplier by the Lab outlines the changes made from the previous version as well as the time frame by which the Supplier needs to comply. The timeframe is determined by GSA and is typically based on the type and number of requirements/test scenarios that are being changed/added to the Approval Procedure. In the event that the Supplier cannot comply within the established timeframe, the Supplier may request an extension through the Lab. Supplier’s requests for extensions must be made in writing. Products and services that are in the midst of a re-evaluation will be identified as such on the APL until the re-evaluation has been completed. Depending on whether the product or service is found to be conformant or not, its listing on the APL will either continue to exist or will be moved to the Removed Products List (RPL).
