PAGO PAGO, American Samoa -- Due to airline scheduling difficulties, the Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) on the Manu'a Islands have had to institute a new schedule. Weather and airline schedules permitting, the centers will be open as follows:

Social Services Center, Village of Fitiuta on Ta'u Island:
Monday, April 11
Wednesday, April 13
Wednesday, April 20
Wednesday, April 27
Monday, May 2

Ofu Airport VIP Room, Village of Ofu on Ofu Island:
Wednesday, April 6
Thursday, April 14
Thursday, April 21
Thursday, April 28
Tuesday, May 3

The DRC hours are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The centers are open for those whose primary home was damaged as a result of Cyclone Olaf to register for territory and federal disaster assistance..

The FEMA Helpline (699-3362) will remain open through May 4 on Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. to assist disaster applicants with status updates, questions and concerns.

FEMA prepares the nation for all hazards and effectively manages federal response and recovery efforts following any national incident. FEMA also initiates mitigation activities, trains first responders, and manages the National Flood Insurance program and the U.S. Fire Administration. FEMA became part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on March 1, 2003.
