  HuGE News

A new version of the HuGE Navigator (1.3) has been launched:

  • Non-standard common names are widely used for genetic variants in the scientific literature. The Variant Name Mapper non-gov warning icon allows researchers to map these different names to the corresponding refSNP (rs) number and vice versa.
  • Studies that have examined mitochondrial genetic variants can now be easily identified in the HuGE Literature Findernon-gov warning icon Just type “MITO” into the search query or filter your results by the “Mitochondria genetic association” category. In addition, you can track the progress of HuGE research involving mitochondrial genetic variants using the HuGE Watchnon-gov warning icon
  • The capacity for downloading query results has been added to the Phenopedia non-gov warning icon and Genopedia non-gov warning icon applications. Just click on the “Download” button on the results page.

  HuGE Field Synopses

HuGENet™ would like to invite researchers to conduct HuGE Field Synopses in their areas of expertise. HuGE Field Synopses provide systematic, updated, and authoritative reviews of genetic associations in a specific area of research such as a disease or closely related health conditions. Authors are encouraged to summarize and grade genetic associations using the interim guidelines for assessing the cumulative evidence on genetic associations developed by HuGENet. For more information, please review the materials from the HuGENet Workshop, “Networks, Genome-Wide Association Studies, and the Knowledge Base on Genetic Variation and Human Health”
