Elimination of Health Disparities through Translation Research (R18)
In FY 2008, CDC awarded 14 public health dissertation research grants for $5.8 million focused on translation and health disparities research. The purpose of the program is the achievement of new scientific knowledge that can accelerate the translation of research findings into public health practice through implementation, dissemination, and diffusion research. The goal is to improve the adoption and accelerate the dissemination of proven effective interventions that can make critically important impacts on health and contribute to the elimination of health disparities.
