The Occupational Safety and Health Act of
1970 charged the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health
with the responsibility for the development and evaluation of sampling
and analytical methods for workplace compliance determinations. The purpose
of this guideline document is to refine the original protocol for sampling
and analytical method development and evaluation research with additional
experiments to more fully evaluate method performance.
