Spanish Market
The oldest and largest market in the United
States for Hispanic artists working in traditional forms and
media, the market was first organized in the 1920's by the
Spanish Colonial Arts Society. The Society's aim was to
preserve and promote the traditional arts in the face of the
flood of manufactured goods in the marketplace.
