Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) for the City of Los Angeles, California

Shows Changes to the Flood Insurance Study Report for Rustic Canyon

LOMR Effective Date: September 29, 2008
Area Affected: Rustic Canyon - from just downstream of Sunset Boulevard to approximately 500 feet upstream.

Overview/Background

This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) is an update to Profile Panel 162P, of the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for Los Angeles County and Incorporated areas, scheduled to become effective on September 26, 2008. The new FIS report inadvertently did not include the modifications made to the Profile Panel 162P from a LOMR effective May 15, 2003 (Case No. 03-09-0035P), which revised the Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs), the areas that would be inundated by the base (1-percent-annual-chance) flood, and the Base (1-percent-annual-chance) Flood Elevations (BFEs). This LOMR does not revise the SFHA boundaries or the BFEs from the May 15 LOMR along the revised reach.
