Disaster Recovery Centers, Helpline Phones To Close Labor Day

Dededo, Guam -- In recognition of the Labor Day holiday, the Disaster Recovery Centers at Yigo, Merizo, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Office in the Micronesia Mall, and the 800 teleregistration and local Helpline numbers will be closed on Monday, September 2nd.

They will resume their regular days and hours on Tuesday, except for the 800 teleregistration number which will be closed on Saturdays, effective immediately. Regular hours for the DRCs are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The local Guam Helpline (633-9820) is available Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The SBA disaster office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Individuals and business owners who suffered losses or damages during Typhoon Chata'an are encouraged to register by calling FEMA's toll-free number, 1-800-621-3362 or 1-800-462-7585 for the speech- and hearing- impaired. These numbers are in operation from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Guam time, Monday through Friday.

Those who have already registered but need to update their information (new telephone numbers, for example) or who have questions about the status of their application, should call the local Helpline number at 633-9820.
