Make Your Home Safer Through Visit With Disaster Experts 

Teams schedule February visits to area home improvement stores

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Teams of Hazard Mitigation Advisors with expertise in how to make homes and businesses safer from disasters will be temporarily available at the following area home improvement stores starting Monday, Jan. 30, according to the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The technical experts have been moving to new locations on a weekly basis. As specialists in hazard mitigation, they are promoting steps people can take to reduce damage from future disasters. During the first six weeks of operation, more than 32,500 people have received rebuilding and mitigation information from the teams.

Locations scheduled for the next two weeks:

From Monday, Jan. 30 through Sunday, Feb. 5, they will be available each day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the following locations:
