Grand Gulf Exercise

Denton, TX -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency will evaluate off-site activities around the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station during a nuclear power plant exercise on Wednesday, March 6. This graded, biennial exercise will test how well the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station and the state and local governments can protect people who live near the nuclear power plant.
FEMA will present preliminary exercise findings of the off-site exercise in a public meeting at 1:00 p.m. on March 7, at the Tensas Parish Courthouse in St. Joseph, Louisiana. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will use FEMA's final report in licensing decisions.

- Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality
- Grand Gulf Emergency Operations Facility
- Emergency News Media Center, Port Gibson, MS
- Tensas Parish EOC
- Radio Station KNOE, Monroe, LA
