Title-High School-Connecting

High school is a great time to widen your science horizons. Whether you live in Maine or Arizona, opportunities to begin your life as a scientist are available right now! There are programs and competitions all over the country offering lab science, experiments, and expeditions which give you the chance to work and compete with other aspiring scientists.

You can take part in a national mail-in contest by putting your sense of humor into a video which shows physics in action, enter one of the prestigious national competitions which offer cash and scholarship prizes, or warm up for the wider world by taking a project to a local science fair. In the summer, you can learn field research skills while living on a 134 foot sailing ship, or get a taste of college on a beautiful New England campus.

This section helps you find a program or competition that appeals to you, and also offers directories of sites full of fun science quizzes, useful information, and interesting events.
