Title-Middle School-Inspiring

An exciting and satisfying career is a lifetime journey – an ongoing mixture of passion, hard work, and the unexpected. Along the way, inspirations and challenges come in small stages, and it can be easy to lose sight of the vision which first inspired you. This section of WISH-net offers stories and advice from currently working women scientists, as well as profiles of women who were science pioneers. You’ll find personal stories of explorations and achievements in a wide variety of fields – from endocrinology to veterinary surgery – and get a glimpse into the lives of women like Marie Curie, Jane Goodall and Mae Jemison who broke gender barriers to advance in the science field.

Whether you are just beginning to discover the puzzles and thrills of science or are already committed to pursuing a career in science, WISH-net can help you build on the inspiration that started you thinking about a career in science.
