IRS has produced four new public service announcement videos and a short 1040-A Instructional video in ASL with open captions and voice over

The Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Government is partnering with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to make sure important information reaches the deaf community.


In addition to three public service announcements that were posted on the Internet this past Spring, IRS has produced four new public service announcement videos and a short 1040-A Instructional video in ASL with open captions and voice over.


On this website, there are four videos posted. Please inform deaf and hard of hearing taxpayers about the Economic Stimulus Payment and how to get their rebate checks. The deadline is October 15, 2008.  >> more

DHHIG is proud to present the twelfth "NTC" --- National Training Conference (NTC) 2009, which is designed to foster innovation, learning, and practice in the employment of individuals who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. It serves managers, employees, prospective applicants, human resources, EEO, and IT professionals who recognize the need to remain current on issues affecting employees who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Participants include representatives from the Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard of Hearing, and hearing communities (including signers and non-signers) and everyone from the entry level employee to the SES leader will benefit from attending this meeting!

PRESS RELEASE: Videophone Communication Survey Results Are In!

In June 2008, DHHIG members were asked to participate in an online survey on video communication in their workplace.  The purpose of the survey was to gather information about the prevalence of videophone use in the Government workplace.
