New Report Finds Little Change in Diversity on Corporate Boards
The Alliance for Board Diversity research shows white men still hold huge share of Fortune 100 board seats
The Alliance for Board Diversity today announced the findings of its recent study, Women and Minorities on Fortune 100 Boards, which showed little progress over two years in bringing diversity to the boardrooms of America’s leading corporations. According to the report, white men still held a disproportionate share of board director seats, although the study revealed small gains in the share of board seats held by minority women. It also noted that white men realized a net gain of 21 seats as compared with a net gain of three for all women and minority men.

In only its second year, the Annual HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers Program™ (YHCA) recognized 26 young Hispanics in Corporate America who have shown leadership qualities and capabilities within their respective Corporations.
Also in this Newsletter, the Inaugural HACR Corporate Directors Summit was held in New York City. The benchmark event attracted 17 corporate Directors from across the country.

Pastora San Juan Cafferty is on the Board of Directors of Waste Management, Incorporated and Integrys Energy Group, Incorporated. She is professor emeriti at the University of Chicago's School of Social Service Administration, where she worked as a Professor from 1985 until 2005. She has been recognized for her contributions with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Colombia College; an Outstanding Achievement Awards from the Girl Scouts of America and the YWCA; and being named Woman of the Year by Operation PUSH. She was a White House Fellow, Smithsonian Research Fellow, and Wall Street Journal Fellow.
