Saturday Hours Reduced for Disaster Recovery Centers

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Hours will change slightly for the remaining four Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) operated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the State Emergency Management Agency in Missouri for those impacted in the mid-March storms and flooding.

Effective Saturday, May 3, the DRCs will be on the following schedule:

Jasper County DRC: Bethany Presbyterian Church, 1930 Virginia Ave., Joplin, MO, 64804. Open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; closed Saturday and Sunday.

Greene County DRC: American Red Cross building, 1545 N. West Bypass, Springfield, MO 65803. Open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Butler County DRC: 1018 S. Westwood, Suite 5, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901. Open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Shannon County DRC: Winona City Hall, 204 Ash St., Winona, MO 65588. Open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Applicants should register with FEMA prior to visiting a DRC, but help is available at the DRC for those with special needs. Call FEMA's toll-free registration line at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for the speech- and hearing-impaired, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Registration is available 24 hours a day online at www.fema.gov . Registrants should use the name as shown on their Social Security card when registering.
