WICHITA, Kan. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Kansas Hazard Mitigation Team are presenting a free workshop, Rebuilding a Safer, Stronger Community, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 1999, at the Clarion Hotel-Airport, 5805 West Kellogg, Wichita, Kan.

You are welcome to attend the entire workshop to learn about Safe Room construction design, wind storm mitigation techniques, and hear a presentation from the National Weather Service, including a discussion of NOAA's weather radio indoor alert system.

In addition, there will be a photo/interview opportunity for media representatives at 3:15 p.m., right after the workshop is over.
