CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The temporary Disaster Recovery Center in Jones County, located in the Legion Hall, 106 E. 2nd Street, Olin, will close August 5th. The Disaster Recovery Center will remain open until 6:30 p.m on Thursday. The Center opened on July 30 to help individuals and businesses affected by recent storms and flooding.

Additional help for those who have already applied for assistance is still just a telephone call away. To receive detailed program information or to check on the status of your application, call the toll-free Helpline, 1-800-525-0321. For speech- or hearing-impaired individuals, the TTY number is 1-800-462-7585.

Persons from the Jones County area who need to see recovery specialists in person can visit the temporary Disaster Recovery Center in Black Hawk County. It is located in the Black Hawk Hazmat Training Center, 1925 Newell Street, Waterloo. The Center is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
