CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The temporary Disaster Recovery Center in Butler County, located in the Butler County Court House, 428 Sixth Street, Allison, will close after business at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10. The center opened on July 30 to help individuals and businesses affected by recent storms and flooding.

Additional help for those who have already applied for assistance is still just a telephone call away. To receive detailed program information or to check on the status of your application, call the toll-free Helpline, 1-800-525-0321. For speech- or hearing-impaired individuals, the TTY number is 1-800-462-7585. Helpline hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Persons in Butler County who need to see recovery specialists may visit Disaster Recovery Centers in Bremer or Floyd counties. The Bremer County Center is located in City Hall, 200 1st Street NE, Waverly. The Floyd County Center is at the Cedar Mall Shopping Center in Charles City. Both centers are open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
