| A television adaption of Michael Frayn's celebrated and award-winning stage play about the meeting between physicists Niels Bohr (Stephen Rea) and Werner Heisenberg (Daniel Craig) in 1941 Copenhagen. At this time the young Heisenberg was leading a faltering German reseach program into nuclear energy, while the middle-aged and apparently isolated Bohr was in contact with allied agents, and still held a position of great influence in the nuclear physics research community. After the meeting the two men left different impressions as to why Heisenberg requested the meeting, and what he hoped to gain from it, a theme that mirrors the ambiguity of the "Copenhagen" interpretation widely used in quantum physics. Did Heisenberg go to the avuncular Bohr to seek his blessing for his role in nuclear research? Why did Heisenberg concentrate on the development of a nuclear reactor and not perform the calculations that would show that a bomb could be made to work via a fast-neutron reaction in uranium 235? These and other questions are featured in the plot, although, unsurprisingly, there are few certain answers. |

It isn't always easy for sisters to find common ground and develop mutual respect. "My Sister's Keeper" is a poignant and sensitive portrayal of a real-life story of two sisters and their journey toward self-discovery and understanding. Academy Award winner Kathy Bates provides a remarkable performance as Christine, a woman who longs for independence and the personal fulfillment she associates with "an ordinary life." She is constantly frustrated, though, as she must rely on others for support. Elizabeth Perkins stars as Judy, her high-achieving younger sister, who lives a work-centered life as an art editor in New York City. Both their lives are interrupted when their mother suddenly dies. As the two sisters search for common ground between their very different worlds, they struggle to forge the type of strong, loving relationship they hope will lead them to an unconditional acceptance of one another. "My Sister's Keeper" is an intimate and unforgettable look at an extraordinary life we rarely get to see.

| Katie (Mika Boorem), a teenage girl from Malibu, California, finds herself in the throes of growing up, facing her parents, her boyfriends, her sexuality, and a very privileged life. | Based on the Margaret Edson play, Vivian Bearing (Emma Thompson) is a literal, hardnosed English professor who has been diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer. During the story, she reflects on her reactions to the cycle the cancer takes, the treatments, and significant events in her life. The people that watch over her are Jason Posner (Jonathan M. Woodward), who only finds faith in being a doctor; Susie Monahan (Audra McDonald), a nurse with a human side who is the only one in the hospital who cares for Vivian's condition; and Dr. Kelekian (Christopher Lloyd), the head doctor who just wants results no matter what they are. |
