KUH Training Portfolio:

            • Institutional training grants for renal and urology programs

KUH Renal Biochemistry Portfolio:

            • HIV-related disease/investigations

 

            • Basic polycystic kidney disease including inherited and acquired forms of polycystic kidney disease, nephronophthisis, tuberous sclerosis, Von Hippel-Lindau Disease and Bardet-Beidel syndrome. Portfolio includes but is not limited to: role of ciliary function in cystic disease, development of animal models of cystic kidney disease, development of new therapeutic approaches, genetics, and pathogenesis of cystic disease

 

            • Assist management of HALT-PKD, a multicenter clinical trial to test interventions that may be effective in slowing kidney growth in patients suffereing from polycystic kidney disease

            • Assist management of CRISPII, a prospective cohort study to determine whether changes in anatomic characteristics of kidneys as measured by magnetic resonance imaging are reliable surrogate measures for disease progression

 

Trans-NIDDK:

            • Member of Genomics Working Group

 

            • Member of Transition Committee (for grant mechanisms that transition such as K99/R00 or R21/R33)

 

            • Member of NIDDK Training Program Directors (TPD) group
