Current Position:

Director, Epidemiology and Data Systems Program, Division of Digestive Diseases and

Nutrition



Current Portfolio/Responsibilities:

Conducts independent scientific research, mostly with national surveys and longitudinal

cohort studies to study the risk factors for digestive diseases and their natural history;

Serves as project scientist on two multi-center studies:

Hepatitis C Antiviral Long Term Treatment Against Cirrhosis (HALT-C) Trial

Adult to Adult Living Donor Liver Transplantation Cohort Study (A2ALL);

Serves as Project Officer for contract to create Burden of Digestive Diseases report in

conjunction with the work of the National Commission on Digestive Diseases;

Serves as Project Scientist for the National Endoscopy Database/Clinical Outcomes

Research Initiative

Manages a grant portfolio in epidemiology of digestive and nutritional disorders;
