Betty Tong, Ph.D.

Dr. Betty Tong obtained her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. She studied transcriptional regulation during cell cycle and myeloid cell differentiation for her thesis. After completion of her graduate studies, she received a National Research Service Award and conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School and MIT. She also has several years of working experience in the biotech industry.

Dr. Tong is a registered patent agent. She worked in the Office of Technology Licensing at Georgetown University prior to coming to NCI. She joined the TTB staff in August, 2005 as a Cancer Research Training Award Fellow and is currently working with the Marketing and Metrics Unit.
