Charlotte McGuinness

Charlotte McGuinness received her Ph.D. in Anatomy and Zoology from Rutgers University, focused in neurobiology.

After a post-doctoral fellowships at Cornell University Medical College, Departmentof Physiology and Biophysics, and Lederle Laboratories, Division of Molecular Biology, she moved to the pharmaceutical industry, where she held positions of increasing responsibility ending as Director of Biological Sciences in a drug delivery company.

She has done research in neurotrophic factors, neuronal regeneration, pain, Parkinson's disease, and the cell biology of intestinal absorption.

Dr. McGuinness hold a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, she worked at a major law firm in Washington, D.C., in their Intellectual Property Division writing and prosecuting biotech and pharmaceutical patents.
