Karen Maurey

Ms. Maurey joined the TTB, NCI in 1991 and is currently the Deputy Chief. Ms. Maurey is a registered patent agent and previously worked as a biotechnology patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Ms. Maurey has also worked as a team leader for the FDA's Office of Device Evaluation. Ms. Maurey's research experience includes enzyme purification and characterizationat Martin Marietta Laboratories, and studies on endocytic pathways in fibroblastsat Virginia Tech.

Ms. Maurey holds her master's degree in Biology from Johns Hopkins University.
