John Hewes, Ph.D.

Dr. Hewes has a background in chemistry (B.S. and Ph.D., UCLA) and in management of technology (M.S., Management, Stevens Institute). Before joining the NCI TTB, Dr. Hewes was a Technology Assessment Specialist in the NIAID Knowledge Management Office where he helped enable increased knowledge sharing and access to information. He previously served as the Director for Government and University Relations at Honeywell International where he identified cross-Corporate opportunities and was a technical liaison to government agencies. Prior to that position, he developed a new funding program for high-throughput research methods as a Program Manager with the NIST Advanced Technology Program.
