H.R.715—The Anne Fox Act

On January 29, 2007, Representative Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) introduced H.R. 715, the Annie Fox Act. H.R. 715 would require the Director of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences to expand, intensify, and coordinate Institute activities regarding breast cancer in younger women, including the conduct and support of: (1) basic and clinical research on the causes, prevention, detection, treatment, and long-term effects of breast cancer in young women; and (2) information and education programs for health professionals and the public. H.R. 715 was referred to the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee on Health.
