House Energy and Commerce Subcommittees Hold Hearings on Ephedra

On July 23, 2003, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations (Representative James Greenwood [R-PA], Chairman) held a hearing to examine safety issues related to dietary supplements that contain ephedra. On July 24, the Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade, and Consumer Protection (Representative Cliff Stearns [R-FL]) held a hearing on the same topic. NIH did not testify at either hearing.
