Biosketch:
Rafael T. Mikolajczyk, M.D., M.Sc., is a visiting fellow who joined the DESPR Epidemiology Branch in March 2007. He received his M.D. (Ph.D. Medicine) from the Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany. After three years in clinical obstetrics/gynecology, he accepted a position as a research associate and received his M.Sc. in epidemiology through postgraduate training at the School of Public Health at the University of Bielefeld. Since November 2003, he has been an assistant lecturer. His research interests include perinatal epidemiology and infectious diseases with special focus on statistical models of fecundity and mathematical modeling of infectious disease transmission.
