Biography
Ms Taylor received her B.S. degree from the University of Cincinnati. Prior to joining the NCI in late 2000, Ms Taylor ran the flow cytometry and cell sorting lab at the Children's Research Institute, Children's National Medical Center, Washington DC. Her primary focus of interest was pediatric oncology and stem cell transplantation.
Ms Taylor is the Facility Manager of the FACS Core Laboratory (CCR, NCI) in Building 37 and is a staff scientist in the Laboratory of Cell Biology and Genetics.
Research
The FACS Core Laboratory has been in existence since January 2001. It is available to all researchers in the CCR, NCI. The lab has 3 benchtop flow cytometers available for use and the lab staff provides training for these instruments. There are also 3 cell sorters which are operated by the lab staff. Sorting is available on a scheduled basis.
These instruments are equipped with a variety of lasers, options, and software to accomodate as many special projects as possible. The manager and staff are available to discuss your applications and assist with data analysis.
