President and founder.
We welcome you to the website of the Simon Foundation for Continence.
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation dedicated to: "Bringing the
topic of incontinence out of the closet, removing the stigma surrounding
it, and providing help and hope for people with incontinence, their
families, and the health professionals who provide their care."
Within this website we hope that you will find the help and knowledge
which will motivate you to take the steps which will lead to the solution
that is right for you, and for your particular incontinence.
Incontinence affects millions of individuals worldwide. Recent
estimates suggest that 26 million adults in America alone are affected by
urinary incontinence - and countless more by fecal incontinence. The importance
of reporting incontinence to a health professional who is knowledgeable
and interested in treating incontinence cannot be overstated, because the
symptom of incontinence can also be a warning signal of a developing and
possibly serious medical condition.
