  • Primary Uses or Exposures: DAAB is used as an intermediate in the production of dyes, and as a complexing agent, polymer additive and to promote adhesion of natural rubber to steel.
  • Nominated by: NIEHS
  • Basis for Nomination: Research conducted by NTP and Research Triangle Institute (RTI), which demonstrated that DAAB is quantitatively metabolized to benzene (known to be a human carcinogen) and aniline.
  • Current Status: Listed in the RoC as reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen since the 11th RoC (2004)
