  • Primary Uses or Exposures: Vinyl bromide is used predominantly in polymers in the production of fabrics and fabric blends used in sleepwear (mostly children's) and home furnishings, as well as in leather, fabricated metal products and in the production of pharmaceuticals and fumigants.

  • Basis for Nomination: IARC1 classification as probably carcinogenic to humans based on sufficient evidence of carcinogenicity in experimental animals
  • Current Status: Listed in the RoC as reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen since the 10th RoC (2002)
