Revised PHS 416-9 Progress Report for Continuation Support (For the Individual Fellowship Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award) Now Available

EFFECTIVE DATE:  The newly revised “Continuation Progress Report (Rev. 9/2008) for the Individual Fellowship Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award forms and instructions are now available and will be accepted immediately.  All progress reports received on or after December 1, 2008 must use the new forms and instructions. During the transition period, the previous version, PHS 416-9 (Rev. 10/05), will continue to be available and progress reports using the previous version will be accepted through November 30, 2008. 

The newly revised PHS 416-9 forms and instructions are now available at http://grants.nih.gov/grants/funding/416-9/phs416-9.htm and will be accepted for progress report submissions effective immediately. The forms available on the website will continue to be provided in two formats—MS Word and PDF-fillable using Adobe Acrobat Reader Software. Free Adobe Software may be accessed at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html.

Fellows and sponsoring institutional officials are strongly encouraged to access the forms and instructions via the Internet because they provide valuable links to current policy documents and allow easy navigation of the instructions. For further information, contact GrantsInfo@nih.gov.

As in the past, fellows and sponsoring institutional officials should read the instructions carefully. The following is a list of notable changes.
