Urologic Complications of Obesity and Diabetes - March 10-11, 2009

POSTER ABSTRACT INFORMATION

Please note:  The deadline for submission of abstracts is March 1, 2009.

Investigators who attend the NIDDK Urologic Complications of Obesity and Diabetes meeting are encouraged to submit abstracts on their research activities. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges.  Accepted abstracts will be presented at a poster session on Tuesday, March 10.  Presenters of the top abstracts will receive travel awards to supplement their attendance at the meeting.

Please follow the instructions below to submit an abstract for consideration:

  1. The deadline for submission is Friday, March 1, 2009.
  2. Please send the abstract via email to Ms. Mary Compton at mcompton@scgcorp.com with "Urolgic Complications" in the subject line.  Attach the abstract as a Microsoft Word document, and make any relevant comments in the text of the email.
  3. The abstract title should be typed in bold font, with each word capitalized.
  4. List the names, degrees, and institutional affiliations of all authors, and italicize the name of the presenting author.
  5. The body of the abstract should be 600 words or less and divided into sections:  Introduction and Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions. Please list the source(s) of funding at the end of the abstract.
  6. At the end of the abstract, note if the presenter would like to be considered for a travel award.  To be eligible for a travel award, the presenter must be a junior investigator:  resident, graduate student, fellow, postdoctoral fellow, or junior faculty (defined as at the Assistant Professor level or lower or practicing physician within 5 years of fellowship training).  Clearly state the level of the junior investigator presenter.

Poster Presentations

Posters do not need to be elaborate. Poster boards (4 feet high by 6 feet wide), pushpins, and Velcro will be provided onsite. Sponsorship of any type should be indicated on the poster.
